I/we see it all the time...an employee flattering & ingratiating himself with his employer in hopes of getting a raise or promotion in return.
Though there is no exact mention of money...'Mother' is buttering-up the elderly with this letter for among other things...their continued loyalty and in the end...their $$$!

Another indicator that 'Mother' may be strapped for cash...in bold print just before table of contents yet another plea to the elders for money:
"This publication is not for sale. It is provided as part of a worldwide Bible educational work supported by voluntary donations.
To make a donation, please...donate...!"
These elders make peanuts while serving this organization and now 'Mother' wants the shell.

so this elder is super brainwashed, as is his wife.

I got one of those calls from an elder...my reply was: "Don't call me...I'll call you!"
Makes me wonder if all these daily phone calls along with the text & email check-ins/check-ups ordered by the circuit overseers isn't a way to keep homebound elders themselves busy & out of trouble...after all, as the ole saying goes... "an elder's idle mind is the workshop of the Devil!"🤣🤣🤣

not only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!

so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

Just when you were wondering how much more ridiculous can this cult get during this crisis...word is...that at either this week's zoom meetings or via emails or by texts messages...the rank & file are being reminded by elders to turn their time in for the month of March...what's next?!?!

This cult is something else...a letter from "Mother" will be read at midweek zoom meetings to all congregations to the effect:
"Hey y'all...Even though everyone is in a time of crisis...don't forget to send in your donations to the World Wide Work Fund!"

i was raised in this sect, 1st gen. was isolated from any family.

had suicidal attempts because of this sect.

family as always instead of being a backbone of support, victim blamed.

I've heard of some congregations holding meetings for field service via Zoom on Saturday & Sunday mornings while rank & file are homebound...seriously! Talk about getting dressed with nowhere to go!🤣🤣🤣
